Fanatics Fantasy Football League

League Rules

The Fanatics Fantasy Football League (FFFL) is an eight team dynasty league. All times are Central Standard Time (CST)

WHAT IS A DYNASTY LEAGUE

Dynasty leagues are for the serious fantasy football owner and require a commitment over multiple seasons. After the initial draft in a dynasty league's inaugural season, players remain on the same roster from one season to the next unless they are traded or released.

TEAM NAMES

Each team will have a team name consisting of a geographic location and a nickname.

THE DRAFT

Each draft will be determined by the order of finish in the previous season. It wil not be serpentined, meaning it will be conducted like the NFL draft.

The draft will be held using the MyFantasyLeague (MFL) web site and Internet e-mail.

The Draft will start about the 1st of August in order to have it completed before the NFL season starts.

Each GM is allotted 24 hours to make a selection.  As soon as a GM makes a selection, the next GM is considered to be on the clock.  All times are Central Standard Time (CST).  Should the draft be taking too long towards the start of the season, the Commissioner will determine a way to speed up the draft, either by (1) shortening the draft picks to 12 hour time limits, (2) having all owners to agree to meeting in a chat room, so we can finish the draft live, or (3) by having each owner send in a list of draft pick preferences.

If a team fails to make a selection within the allotted 24 hours, the next team will go on the clock.  The team that missed their pick will be able to submit a pick of undrafted players to the Commissioner when they can.

Please check your e-mail at least twice a day to keep the draft moving at nice pace.

Every one is encuraged to use the pre-draft feature of the MFL web site. This feature allows you to set a list of players that you want with your next pick. When the person in front of you drafts, the site will check your list and give you the next player listed, and move on to the next team.

The Draft will be conducted in enought rounds to give everyone 25 players.

ROSTERS & STARTERS

The starting lineup will consist of:  2 running backs, 2 receivers, 1 tight end, 1 swing player (which can be a RB, WR, or TE), 1 quarterback, 1 kicker and 1 defense for a total of 9 players plus the tie breaker.

If a line-up isn't submitted by the deadline for that week you will receive a zero for the week. Even if you intend to use the same line-up as the previous week, you must e-mail The Commissioner. Sometimes servers will go down, so I suggest that you not wait until the last minute to submit a line-up.  I will make my phone number available just in case.

Sunday Games - Starters must be in before the start of the first game.

Thursday Games - Starters must be in before the start of the first game unless otherwise determined by the Commissioner.

Saturday Games - Starters must be in before the start of the first game unless otherwise determined by the Commissioner.

Changes to a line-up can be made.  If a line-up is submitted on time for a Thursday game, changes can be made for the Sunday game up until game time of the 12:00 games.  Naturally you can't change a player who has already played for that week.  If there is no Thursday game - changes can be made up until game time on Sunday.

If a team fails to turn in a lineup for the first game, their first two running backs, two receivers, quarterback, tight end, kicker and defense drafted will make up their starting lineup and a 3 point penalty will be enforced. The first player drafted that is not one of these eight will be used as the tiebreaker.

In addition to a team's starting lineup, one player will be listed as the teams tie breaker.

If the game is tied at the end of regulation play then the tie breakers points will be added to break the tie. If the game is still tied then it remains a tie.

In the Playoffs all reserves are listed in the order the owner wants them to be used for breaking a tie. If the game is still tied after the first reserves, then the 2nd reserves are used and so on until the tie is broken.

SCORING METHOD

The format that is used for scoring is listed on the Scoring Rules page.
